A stage telling pride of schoolchildren "Children's Union members met on the road of patriotism" took place at the Pyongyang Municipal Youth Park Open-air Theatre on September 5.

Schoolchildren, who are preparing themselves to be pillars of the country with versatile knowledge, strong physique and noble ideological and spiritual traits, cherishing the value of the country and the real meaning of patriotism before anything else with one mind of loyalty to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, took the stage.

The story of schoolchildren who safely carried the portraits of the peerlessly great men out from the fierce flames showed well the pure mental world of the new generation.

The participants were impressed by the beautiful deeds of schoolchildren who visited the statues of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill and devoted themselves to preserving them every day and thus gave pleasure to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un and who show their pure sincerity for preserving the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong and other bases for education in the revolutionary traditions.

They were also moved by the pride of schoolchildren who have worked hard to get full marks at the newly-built splendid schools on the rugged lands swept by disaster.

Schoolchildren said that they won the top and first places at international and national contests and exhibitions while preparing themselves as the pillars who would shoulder the future of a thriving nation by studying hard and won the national schoolchildren's sports contests by conducting brisk extracurricular sports activities.

Put on the stage were the sources of pride, including the stories of the schoolchildren who contributed to providing "Sonyon" (child) weapons and military equipment by gathering large quantities of materials lying idle and of those who take warm care of war veterans and honoured disabled soldiers.

Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
