Flowers laid at martyrs cemeteries

Flowers were laid before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on September 9, the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Honour guards of the Korean People's Army lined up at the cemeteries.

Present there were Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, other senior Party, government and military officials and officials of the WPK Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet and armed forces organs.

The participants paid silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs who devoted their all to the struggle for the independence and sovereignty of the country and the victorious advance of the Juche revolution.

They went round the cemeteries.

The participants laid flowers before the busts and tombstones of the martyrs and paid tribute to them.
