DPRK art exhibition held in Russia

The DPRK Art Exhibition "The Great People's Country" opened with splendour at a decorative handicraft and folk art gallery in Russia on September 8 to mark the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Displayed at the venue of the exhibition is a photo of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un meeting Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on a visit to the DPRK in June 2024.

Exhibited there are art pieces showing the brave spirit of the DPRK people dynamically accelerating the overall development of socialism under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, the invincible military muscle and the dignity of the DPRK that are fully demonstrated before the world and the dignified and happy life of its people.

Present at the opening ceremony were the delegation of the DPRK Ministry of Culture led by Minister Sung Jong Gyu, DPRK Ambassador to Russia Sin Hong Chol and staff members of his embassy.

On hand there were Sergei Shoigu, secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, minister of Culture, other personages of the Russian government, political party, social organizations, cultural and art circles and the media and foreign diplomatic envoys in Russia.

Speeches were made there.

Sung Jong Gyu said that the DPRK-Russia friendly and cooperative relations are fully demonstrating their vitality at a new high stage thanks to the most sincere comradely relations between the top leaders of the two countries.

Olga Lyubimova said that the two countries have jointly covered the road for establishing cultural sovereignty, preserving historical and cultural heritage and defending the traditional spiritual values, welcoming the participants in the opening ceremony on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The participants looked round the exhibited art pieces with deep emotion.
