The Hwasong Ragwon BBQ Restaurant is located in the residential section of the third-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area of Pyongyang, which was inaugurated in April this year.

The two-storey restaurant has BBQ rooms and balconies.

Conspicuous on the street because of its distinctive architectural style, the restaurant serves distinctive dishes.

BBQs are the dishes not only representative of the restaurant but also especially popular with the customers.

BBQs done over an oak fire after being seasoned with dozens of kinds of spices are well known for being fat-free and tasty.

The restaurant serves a variety of BBQs, including BBQ beef brisket, BBQ lamb ribs, BBQ pulled pork and BBQ pork ribs.

A resident in Taesong District, Pyongyang, said he is pleased to eat BBQs on the new, modern street, and that his family frequents the restaurant.

Meanwhile, the distinctive balconies of the restaurant also give pleasure to the customers.

A woman living in Hwasong District said, “My family and I frequent the restaurant to eat BBQs on the balcony. It is very pleasant to relish the meats while admiring the night view of the new wonderful street.”

The restaurant serves 200-odd kinds of other dishes, including salmon belly sashimi and foie gras burger, along with more than 40 kinds of BBQs, including beef barbecue, lamb leg barbecue, duck barbecue and streaky pork barbecue.
