Iconic building features distinctive style in Hwasong area
September 25, 2025The third-stage 10 000-flat section of the Hwasong area inaugurated in April this year presents spectacular scenes day and night.
In this area there are several buildings boasting of modern architectural beauty. Most attractive among them is the connected service network built in the form of an overhead bridge.
The service building, which links two high-rise apartment buildings standing side by side at a considerable height, symbolizes the gatepost at the entrance to the third-stage section of the Hwasong area.
The over 10m-wide and 90m-long service building horizontally connects two towers at the height of dozens of metres of the two high-rise apartment buildings on both sides of the road and there is an arch-style decoration under it to demonstrate its symbolic and formative artistic value. And a clock has been installed at the centre of it to enhance its utility rate and aesthetic value.
The tops of the two towers are decorated with broach roofs to make them look elegant.
Inside the towers are lifts and stairs leading to the service building.
Unlike the symbolic tower on Mirae Scientists’ Street and the round overhead bridge on Songhwa Street built in recent years, the service network is connected on the high floor and parts of the floor of the passage are covered with glass so that visitors can look sideways and down below.
Therefore, they will feel as if they are floating in the sky.
The connected service network creates a good harmony with all kinds of modern service facilities, including Amisan Motor Service Centre, Hwasong Video Game Centre and Hwasong Ragwon BBQ Restaurant, and apartment houses in the surroundings to show the striking appearance of the third-stage section of the Hwasong area and the rapid development of architecture.
