Wonsan Kalma Cooking Festival-2025 closes
September 29, 2025The Wonsan Kalma Cooking Festival-2025 closed.
On display at the venue for the festival were various dishes prepared by public catering establishments across the country, and advanced technical experience was widely shared.
The famous dishes of cooks from Okryu Restaurant and Changgwang Restaurant Group attracted the visitors' attention as they preserved well their own tastes and nutritive value and showed the daily-developing culinary culture and cookery of the country.
Highly appreciated were dishes of the Phyongchon and Sosong district restaurant groups and other public catering establishments in Pyongyang.
Cooks from North and South Hamgyong provinces presented dishes preserving local characteristics.
Various dishes and drinks prepared by the Kalmaegi Hotel, Kalma Daesong Hotel and other public service establishments in the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area revved up the festival atmosphere.
Also attracting visitors' attention were the demonstration and the instant food service contest of cooks and waiters and waitresses.
Officials concerned, cooks, waiters and waitresses were present at the closing ceremony held on September 27.
At the closing ceremony, the result of the jury’s examination was announced and diplomas were conferred on the highly appreciated units and participants.
