Jangyon Korean cattle

Jangyon Korean cattle are reared in some areas of Jangyon County in South Hwanghae Province.

Adjoining the West Sea of Korea in the southwestern part with mountains standing in the northeast, these areas have fertile land and it provides favourable conditions for the growth of plants.

Jangyon Korean cattle are husky and have four strong legs, giving an impression of health. In particular, they are characterized by the well-developed front part of the body, high shoulder and wide space between hind legs.

It is one of the most superior breeds of cattle in the country. Bulls weigh around 500kg and cows around 400kg, and their whole bodies are covered with yellowish brown furs.
