Scientific foundation of agriculture gets more solid

September 30, 2025

Notable successes have been made in improving the scientific and informatization level of agricultural production.

An online consultation system and management information system of the agricultural sector have been established on a nationwide scale, providing a guarantee for guiding farming in a more unified and scientific way.

Earlier, development teams were formed to establish a scientific guidance system and management system in order to achieve the best results by guiding farming with optimal solutions while overseeing farming processes at the farms in plain and mountainous areas. Thanks to their strenuous efforts, the online consultation and management information systems of the agricultural sector were set up to prove effective in agricultural production.

Through the online consultation system, officials of the Agricultural Commission, scientists of the Academy of Agricultural Science and members of the scientific farming promotion teams have consultations on the opinions about technical problems arising in farming and take relevant measures together with officials of provincial, city and county agricultural guidance organs and farms.

The establishment of the management information system has enabled the Agricultural Commission to scientifically and rationally organize and conduct all work for the completion of farming processes and business management at all farms across the country.

Meanwhile, latest information technology suited to the world’s agricultural development trend is steadily being introduced into the agricultural sector across the country.

Large databases have been built up, such as the plot e-map database, the national meteorological database and the soil survey and analysis database, thereby providing a guarantee for putting agricultural production on a higher informatization level.

A series of successes are being made in rationally distributing crops and varieties on a nationwide scale by using different kinds of information technology and scientifically assessing and forecasting the progress of farming processes and crop growth according to plot and season, damage from blight and drought and crop situation.

In addition, a nationwide estimated grain yield evaluation system using a satellite-beamed information analysis technology and crop growth simulation technology has been established, thus contributing to putting agricultural production on a scientific basis.
