Chinese FM spokesman calls for strengthening UN’s role
October 1, 2025A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the need to strengthen the role of the UN in a press conference on September 25.
Today, the world is suffering from different kinds of chaos because the basic purpose and principle of the UN Charter have been continuously distorted and impaired, he said.
A series of serious crises and challenges that have occurred in recent years teach the world once again that the position of the UN should be defended without fail and its role further strengthened, he stressed.
China will continue to promote the UN’s restoration of dignity and vitality in the new situation in collaboration with all sides, he said.
