DPRK player Ri Song Gum proved successful at the 2025 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships being held in Norway.

The championships have brought together more than 470 competent men and women players from over 80 countries and regions, including the DPRK, China, Bulgaria, Canada and Egypt.

In the women's 48kg category held on October 2 (local time), Ri Song Gum lifted 91kg in snatch, 122kg in clean and jerk (new world record) and 213kg in total (new world record) to win first place in snatch, clean and jerk and total respectively and bagged three gold medals.
