Russia censures EU for brigandish act
October 9, 2025Shortly ago, the European Union took earnings from Russia’s assets frozen due to sanctions and offered them to Ukraine as a loan.
Dmitri Peskov, Russian presidential press secretary, gave a warning at a press conference on October 2 that the EU’s measure will surely face retaliation since it is as good as robbery.
On the same day, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry denounced the EU’s attempt to use Russian assets for Ukraine as criminal.
Saying that a powerful countermeasure will be taken on the principle of reciprocity, the spokesperson stressed that Russia has sufficient means and capabilities to counter it.
