Chinese party and government delegation arrives in Pyongyang
October 10, 2025A party and government delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and premier of the State Council of the PRC, arrived in Pyongyang on October 9 to take part in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and pay an official goodwill visit to the DPRK at the invitation of the Central Committee of the WPK and the DPRK government.
The national flags of the two countries were fluttering on flagstaffs of Pyongyang International Airport and a guard of honour of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the apron before the terminal.
The delegation was warmly greeted by Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Jong Myong Su, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Yun Jong Ho, minister of External Economic Relations, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, and Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs.
A woman worker presented a bouquet to Li Qiang.
A ceremony was held to welcome him.
The national anthems of the PRC and the DPRK were played.
Li Qiang, together with Pak Thae Song, reviewed the guard of honour of the KPA.
People warmly welcomed him at the airport, holding national flags of the two countries and bouquets.
