Nation significantly celebrates WPK's birthday

All the people in the DPRK significantly celebrated the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

An endless stream of the people yearning for President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il flowed to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the most sacred temple of Juche where the President and the Chairman lie in state.

The visitors paid tribute with humble reverence to the peerlessly great men who built the WPK into a mass party absolutely supported and trusted by the people at the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.

Officials, working people, service personnel, young people and schoolchildren visited the statues of the great leaders and mosaics depicting the images of the peerlessly great men on Mansu Hill and in other parts of the country to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers before them.

Many people visited the Party Founding Museum associated with the great Party’s founding history on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

There were national flag-raising ceremonies in different parts of the country.

Performances were given in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to celebrate the October holiday.

In Nampho Municipality workers and trade union members had an oratorical meeting and agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea a celebration meeting.

Officials of provincial-level institutions in Jagang Province held a sports game with ardent enthusiasm.

Dance parties took place in different parts of the country including South and North Hwanghae provinces.

Service facilities in the capital city and other parts of the country were crowded with visitors.

The Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum, the Rungna People's Recreation Ground and other bases for cultural and emotional life were filled with happy laughter of working people, students and children.

Streets in the capital city were decorated with spectacular illuminations.
