Chinese party and government delegation leaves Pyongyang

The party and government delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by Li Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and premier of the State Council of the PRC, left Pyongyang on October 11 after paying an official goodwill visit to the DPRK at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK government and participating in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The national flags of the two countries fluttered on flagstaffs at Pyongyang International Airport and a guard of honour of the Korean People’s Army lined up at the apron before the terminal.

They were warmly seen off by Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Jong Myong Su, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Yun Jong Ho, minister of External Economic Relations, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, and Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs.
