The national education support program exhibition-2025 was held from August 26 to 29 at the Sci-Tech Complex on the theme of “The digitization of educational resources and informatization of education”.

The exhibition, in which over 1 300 valuable programs developed by lecturers and researchers of educational institutions at all levels were on display, was an occasion for strongly promoting the development of the country’s education.

Ryomyong Primary School in Taesong District, Pyongyang, had been selected as one of top 10 informatization model units in 2021 and 2023. This time it presented a school educational resources browsing program “Naui Hakkyo” (my school) and a primary school IT education support program, gaining high appreciation again.

So Un Byol, a teacher of the school and one of the developers, said that these programs, which had been developed in 2018 and already proved advantageous, were successfully updated by reflecting the users’ opinions.

“Naui Hakkyo” was praised to be very effective in teaching and school administration as it helps users browse and use in real time the educational information resources including data on the modern education development trend and excellent teaching methods and control and manage the teaching and business activities of schools in a unified way.

“Seeing the programs presented by them, we have come to know that it is no accident that it was selected as a model of the whole country in informatization,” said visitors in unison.

In the past the school built up a solid foundation for informatization by relying on its own talent force to strengthen the ranks of teachers and improve the students’ knowledge. It formed a developing group with Kim Yun Hui and other competent teachers and encouraged them to play a leading role in developing programs and improving the IT ability of all teachers.

They delved in developing programs while being engaged in teaching and the program development gradually turned into an all-school affair. As a result, most of the teachers in the school acquired the ability to develop IT products by themselves and in the course of presenting their products to the national deliberation the IT force of the school has grown stronger.

In those years dozens of IT products were invented and introduced and all teaching and business activities were informatized, resulting in significant successes in the administration of the school.

New effective teaching methods were created and model teachers and students with top honours increased in number.

The teachers of the school have also attained a notable success at the recent national foreign language teaching experience-sharing meeting of the primary and secondary education sector-2025.

“The level of informatization in education can be said to be that of development of education. We, educators, are charged with the heavy responsibility and duty to develop education into the most advanced and ideal one which can be fully entrusted with the country’s future,” said headmistress Hong Kwang Ok.
