The Russian permanent representative to the UN disclosed the danger of the “anti-drug operations” conducted by the United States in the Caribbean Sea at a meeting of the UN Security Council on October 10.

Criticizing the US for recently attacking ships in the open sea near Venezuela without any investigation under the signboard of “anti-drug operations”, he said that his country denounces it as a flagrant violation of international law and human rights.

The US is attacking ships by using the principle of preemptive firing of “cowboys”, he said, stressing that Venezuela has a reason enough to be convinced that the US might switch from threat to attack.
