Spring water widely used as drinking water

Spring water has long been known as good for the prevention and treatment of diseases.

People’s interest in spring water is growing day after day as it has been explained in more detail with the development of science and technology that spring water is not only good for digestive, endocrine and central nervous systems but also effective in diuresis, blood making and anti-inflammation.

Across the DPRK there are countless famous springs, including the Adalsan spring water which is tasty and highly effective in preventing and treating various diseases, the Sindok spring water which is tasty and good for health, the crystal clear Tongyang spring water, spring water No. 2 around Ullim Falls which flows out of rocks in front of the falls and the Masikryong spring water.

Springs for longevity are distributed in dozens of places in Pyongyang Municipality alone.

Kangdong County where the Mausoleum of King Tangun, the ancestral father of the Korean nation, is located is regarded as one of the areas of the country with the largest spring water yield.

Many springs were registered as natural monuments, like the Ryongaksan, Hwaphogum and Kumgang springs.

The country ensures that the springs which meet the estimation standards for health promotion and longevity are positively used as sources of drinking water for the people and as treatment resources for health and longevity.

Thus, modern spring water factories have been built in provinces, cities and counties and spring water supply stations established in different parts of the country so that people can drink tasty and quality springs for the promotion of their health.

Each people’s power organ regards the supply of spring water to the people as an issue related to the serve-the-people spirit and ensures it in a responsible manner.

In 2017, the DPRK law on the management of spring water was adopted.
