Venezuela starts military exercise to cope with US military threat
October 24, 2025Venezuela launched a military exercise on October 18 for building up its defence posture to cope with the US’ military threat.
The current drill, dubbed the “Avenue across Venezuelan plain”, is said to be waged in different states in the middle part of the country including Portuguesa.
The Venezuelan President said that the aim of the drill is to get the national defence forces fully ready through the mobilization of broad segments of civilians and regional cooperation.
The cooperation among civilians, policemen and soldiers is essential in defending the sovereignty and stability of the country, he said, stressing that “We will continue to win on the road for peace”.
