ALBA-TCT (La Alianza Bolivariana Tara Los Tueblos De Nuestra America-Tratado De Conercio De Los Tueblos) issued a statement on October 20 to denounce the US’ threat to Colombia.

In connection with the fact that the US has recently suggested the possibility of coercive and military action against the Colombian government while implicating it in illegal activities, the statement branded it as a heinous infringement on the national sovereignty of Colombia and a direct attack on the Colombians.

It noted that it reflects the US’ imperialist and bellicose policy based on the Monroe Doctrine and wrecks regional peace and stability.

Expressing invariable support to and solidarity with the Colombian government and people, ALBA-TCT called on the international community to reject any type of interference or threat.
