The Venezuelan Vice-President condemned the US’ manoeuvre to plunder the natural resources of his country in a speech at an international forum he took part in by way of videoconferencing on October 23.

Saying that the US is posing a warlike threat to countries in the Caribbean region to disrupt cooperation in the energy sector related to Venezuela in the region, he branded it as a scheme to extort crude oil and gas.

He stressed that Venezuela will defend its sovereign rights in the issue of using its natural resources.
