Jo Yong Won and Ri Hi Yong, secretaries of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made a field survey of the Jenam Coal Mine under the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex on November 1.

Going round the coal mine, they encouraged the coal miners who are making a dynamic drive for increased production with high enthusiasm to greet the Ninth Congress of the WPK as the one of victors and glory.

The secretaries of the Party Central Committee stressed the need for the officials of the coal mine in charge of coal production for a leading power production base to play the leading, creative and positive role in the production command, pay close attention to improving the working and living conditions of the coal miners, concentrate manpower and means on tunnelling and increase the transport capacity in order to decisively boost the coal production.
