DPRK team beats Japanese team at 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup
November 4, 2025A quarterfinal between the DPRK and Japanese teams for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup took place on November 1 (local time).
No. 15 Kim Won Sim scored the first goal in one minute after the kickoff, and No. 7 Ri Ui Gyong and No. 10 Yu Jong Hyang made goals in the sixth and 22th minutes respectively.
The DPRK team succeeded in scoring two more goals in the 73rd minute and in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time.
As a result, the DPRK team defeated the Japanese team 5-1 and advanced to the semi-finals.
A semi-final between the DPRK and Brazilian teams will take place on November 5 (November 6 Pyongyang time).
