The Russian Foreign Ministry warned against Japan’s recent provocative military moves.

Japan staged military exercises in different parts, including Hokkaido geographically close to Russia. As to this, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that such provocative military moves pose a potential threat to the security of the Far Eastern borders of its country.

It has aroused special concern that a ground launched intermediate-range missile system deployed at a US military base in Iwakuni of Japan on the pretext of the Japan-US actual drill Resolute Dragon still remains there, it added.

It stressed that the Russian Federation will take necessary countermeasures to ensure its own security on a due level.
