“The Mirim Riding Club is a favourite haunt for riding enthusiasts in all seasons, and especially spring and autumn are peak seasons,” said Ri Tong Jun, secretary general of the Equestrian Association of Korea.

Lots of people have a good time riding horses at the club consisting of a riding knowledge learning space, indoor riding training ground, riding service station and other buildings that look like log cabins.

Beginners usually learn how to ride horses at the indoor training ground with the help of kind trainers who help even children and elderly persons learn how to ride horse in a short time.

“I rode a horse for the first time in my life at this place. I was afraid that I might fall, but ten minutes later, I became able to make my horse go at walking pace with the help of a trainer,” said a 60-year-old woman from Taesong District in Pyongyang.

Cute children on ponies are so happy, lightening the atmosphere of the training ground.

Riding enthusiasts and other experienced riders flaunt their skills along the long outdoor tracks.

There are those busy shooting photos of pleasant looks of visitors with smart phones and cameras.

At their request, clients can attend lectures on horse riding and breeding at the riding knowledge learning space.

Many people want to ride horses to their heart’s content for several days staying at the club.

To satisfy such demand, the club built the Mirim Sungma Hotel and opened it in September this year.

The three-storey building is fully equipped with welfare facilities to cater for their different needs.

In addition to the Mirim Riding Club in Pyongyang, riding facilities are found in different parts of the country and many people enjoy horse riding there.
