Chinese FM spokesman rejects Japan’s interference in its internal affairs
November 18, 2025A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry rejected Japan’s interference in the country’s internal affairs at a press conference on November 13.
The Japanese prime minister recently asserted at the Diet that China’s use of armed forces against Taiwan may lead to Japan’s “crisis of existence”. Then he affirmed that he has no intention to withdraw or cancel the abovementioned remark as it conforms to the Japanese government’s view.
In this regard, the Chinese spokesman said that Japan’s wild ambition to interfere in the Taiwan issue is not just a wanton violation of international justice but an open challenge to the postwar international order.
Taiwan is China’s Taiwan and it is China’s job to solve the Taiwan issue, so any interference by outside forces is intolerable, he noted.
If Japan interferes in the Taiwan Strait situation with arms and commits an act of aggression, China will definitely deal a heavy counterblow, he said, and warned it not to make wrongful remarks and play with fire in the Taiwan issue.
