A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry answered a question put by a journalist as to the US’ sanctions against Venezuela at a press conference on November 28.

China opposes unilateral sanctions imposed without international legal ground and outside forces’ interference in the internal affairs of Venezuela on any pretext, he stressed.

He demanded the US lift illegal and unilateral sanctions and do good things for peace, stability and development of the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

The US recently decided to enforce sanctions against the president and high-ranking officials of Venezuela while interfering in the internal affairs of the country.
