Ideal socialist villages have appeared in Ogye-ri of Anbyon County and Sangja-ri and Jungyong-ri of Wonsan City, Kangwon Province.

Ceremonies of moving into new houses were held on the spot.

Present there were Paek Song Guk, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of Anbyon County and Wonsan City, builders and agricultural workers. Congratulatory speeches were made there.

Licences for the use of houses were handed over at the ceremonies.

Colourful art performances and cheerful peasant dance parties were given in the new villages which were in a festive mood.

Officials visited the farmers’ families who moved into new houses to congratulate them.
