Chinese FM demands Japan correct mistake
December 8, 2025A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry answered a question put by a journalist as to the fact that Japan sent a letter to the United Nations at a press conference on December 2.
The letter of the Japanese side is full of wrong opinions and lies, he said, adding that the Taiwan-related remarks of the Japanese Prime Minister are an open challenge to the gains made in the Second World War and the post-war international order and an intentional violation of the basic purpose and principle of the UN Charter.
Taking issue with the fact that the Japanese Prime Minister hinted that Japan would use armed forces against China while connecting the “Taiwan emergency” with Japan’s “existence crisis”, he said that Taiwan is part of the Chinese territory and that how to settle the Taiwan issue is an affair of the Chinese themselves which does not allow external interference.
He stressed that China strongly urges Japan to correct the mistake and fulfil its duty as a defeated nation.
