Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un pays condolatory visit to Russian embassy

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, paid a condolatory visit to the Russian embassy in Pyongyang on December 10 as regards the demise of Aleksandr Ivanovich Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

Comrade Kim Jong Un laid a bunch of flowers and observed a moment's silence in memory of Aleksandr Ivanovich Matsegora, who devoted his noble life to boosting and developing the DPRK-Russia friendship.

He met with the bereaved family members and leading staff members of the embassy and expressed deep condolences to them.

He said that Matsegora was a competent diplomat who made a distinguished contribution to the history of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations and a close friend and true comrade deeply kept in the hearts of the Korean people as a man.

Saying that the loss of the ambassador at a time when the development of the relations between the two countries has entered an important historic phase is, indeed, a heartrending event and great loss not only to the Russian government and people but also to the government and people of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un stressed that he passed away, but our respect for and memories of him would last forever and the DPRK-Russia relations would continue to develop as he wished.
