Officials and members of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea (SWUK) held a meeting at the Hall of Women in Pyongyang on December 16 to tell about the noble virtues of Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.

Present there were Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the SWUK, officials concerned and officials of the women's union and its members in Pyongyang.

At the meeting the speakers said that the noble revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il who laid an eternal foundation for the prosperity of the socialist country and happiness of all generations to come with his outstanding ideas and gigantic revolutionary practice is a history of warm love and boundless devotion.

They highly praised the undying ideo-theoretical exploits of Kim Jong Il who formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and set the modelling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea after analysing and reviewing the one-hundred-year history of the previous ideologies of the working class.

They told about the stories recorded on the arduous roads to the front taken by the iron-willed brilliant commander who firmly defended independence, dignity, justice and peace and led the socialist cause to victory, weathering out the tempest of the history in the van.

They said about the noble life of the Chairman who made ceaseless journeys for the people by train with his iron will and superhuman energy till the last period of his life.
