Officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and agricultural workers held a meeting to hear about the noble virtues of Chairman Kim Jong Il on December 16 on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.

Present there were officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.

The speakers told with deep emotion about the loving care for the people shown by Kim Jong Il who walked along the rugged roads between farm fields till the last period of his revolutionary career to solve the food problem of the people.

They highly praised the immortal feats of the Chairman who always found himself among agricultural workers, paid close attention to the issue of supplying vegetables to the citizens of Pyongyang and took measures for it without taking a rest on holidays for the happiness of the people.

They said that he visited the Migok Farm in Sariwon City, the Sinam Farm in Ryongchon County, the Samjigang Farm in Jaeryong County, the Unhung Farm in Thaechon County and others to kindle the flames of socialist emulation among farms and led them to add glory to their honour as model farms in the van of agricultural production.

They noted that he was the benevolent father and the great teacher of the DPRK people as he showed deep loving care and benevolence for the agricultural workers, devoting himself to improving the people's diet.

They called upon all the agricultural workers to become the genuine patriotic farmers, saying that a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation is being ushered in on this land under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who continues the journey of devoted service for the people's wellbeing to translate the patriotic desire of Kim Jong Il into reality.
