Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryavkov said at a press conference with a US media organization on December 16 that Russia will never tolerate any type of deployment of the Western forces in Ukraine.

He asserted that the mediation process for the Ukrainian dispute should be based on conditions that are acceptable to all related parties.

However, Russia has no intention of supporting or permitting the appearance of NATO forces in the Ukrainian territory in any circumstances nor even compromising on it, he stressed.
