Under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea, modern houses were built at the Tongsan Industrial Crop Farm under the North Phyongan Provincial Rural Economy Committee, and Sujin, Taehwa and Township farms in Uiju County.

Ceremonies of moving into the houses took place on the spot.

Present there were officials of the Party and power organs, builders and agricultural workers in North Phyongan Province, Kusong City and Uiju County.

Choe Yong Man, chairman of the North Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, made congratulatory speeches at the ceremonies.

Licences for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.

Farmers began moving into the houses amid cheerful peasants' music and dance parties.

Officials visited the new houses to congratulate their owners.
