The workers' artistic information team of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) gave a performance "The People’s Country" at the Central Hall of Workers in Pyongyang on December 25 in celebration of the Constitution Day of the DPRK.

Among the audience were officials of the GFTUK Central Committee and trade union officials, workers and union members in Pyongyang.

Put on the stage were such colourful numbers as chorus "The People's Country", female solo "We Love You, Socialism" and comic stage dialogue "Honourably".

In poetic narrative "The Peerlessly Great Men and the Constitution of the Republic", the performers highly praised the undying feats of the peerlessly great men who provided a powerful legal weapon for realizing the independence of the working masses for the first time in history and glorified the Constitution of the DPRK as a genuine people's law firmly guaranteeing the rosy future of the country and the dignity and happiness of the people.

Songs "Let's Defend Socialism", "We Are Koreans" and others reflecting the ardent aspirations of the Korean people revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

The performance, which redoubled the revolutionary enthusiasm and fighting spirit of the working class and trade union members, ended with the motivational poem and choruses "We Travel the Road to Socialism Only" and "Pyongyang Is Best".
