Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea got together to tell about the noble virtues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on December 25 to mark the 53rd anniversary of the Constitution of the DPRK.

Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.

Those who took stage were Vice-Chairman Yun Chol and Department Director Kim Kum Chol of the UAWK Central Committee, Kim Kwang Chol, manager of the Songsin Vegetable Farm in Sadong District in Pyongyang, and Kim Ok Byol, farmer of the Kingol Farm in Rangnang District in Pyongyang.

The performers highly praised the undying exploits of the peerlessly great men who provided the people's code of laws and further developed and enriched it, thus laying a legal foundation for firmly guaranteeing the rosy future of the country and the dignity and happiness of all generations to come.

President Kim Il Sung, who set it as an urgent task for the times that brooked no further delay to enact a new constitution, personally worked out a draft constitution and paid close attention to each article and expression to complete the Constitution of the DPRK, they said, adding that it is an original code of laws of the Korean style unprecedented in history.

They noted that Chairman Kim Jong Il made sure that the immortal state-building ideas and exploits of Kim Il Sung were prefaced in the Constitution of the DPRK and formulated it as Kim Il Sung’s Constitution.

They referred to the fact that the Constitution of the DPRK has been further developed into a political weapon reliably guaranteeing the overall development of Korean-style socialism as the country holds in high esteem the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is translating the patriotic desire, the desire of the peerlessly great men for a powerful country, into a brilliant reality.

They said that the adoption of the basic law on the policy of nuclear forces which made the country’s possession of nuclear weapons permanent, the law on socialist rural development, the law on the implementation of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy and others has enabled the Korean people to continue to write a history of prosperity forever generation after generation free from war.
