Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from G. Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on December 29.

The message said:

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un,

I extend wholehearted congratulations, on behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and on my own behalf, to you on the occasion of the upcoming New Year 2026.

I firmly believe that the friendly and comprehensive cooperation between our two parties, peoples and states would continue to be strengthened in the New Year.

I wish you and your family happiness in good health and the Korean people peace, well-being and prosperity.
