Modern hospitals, built in Kangdong County of Pyongyang Municipality and Kusong City of North Phyongan Province according to the Workers’ Party of Korea's policy on regional development and its plan for modernizing public health, have begun their operation on the occasion of the New Year.

Kangdong County Hospital and Kusong City Hospital started medical service for the local residents on December 31 2025.

Many residents visited the hospitals, upon hearing the news of the start of their operation.
