Schoolchildren give performance to mark New Year 2026
January 3, 2026The schoolchildren’s New Year performance in 2026 “Mt Country Is the Best” was given on January 1.
The performance was seen by officials of Party, power and armed forces organs, ministries, national agencies, labour innovators, meritorious persons, teachers and students of revolutionary schools and working people and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
Overseas Koreans staying in the DPRK also saw the performance.
Put on the stage were colourful numbers showing the appearance of schoolchildren growing up to be fervent young revolutionaries and patriots of socialist Korea under the warm care of the respected fatherly Marshal
The performers offered New Year greetings to the fatherly Marshal who takes warm care of all children and provides them with only the greatest happiness as the benevolent father of the large socialist family and their meticulous parent in reflection of the unanimous feelings of all schoolchildren across the country.
Also put on the stage amid the enthusiastic applause were colourful numbers including songs and dances, real-story telling and music and dance tale reflecting the dreams, ideals and passionate enthusiasm of schoolchildren who are preparing themselves to be masters of a thriving and powerful state with great pride in acquiring ample knowledge, impeccable morality and strong physique under the benefits of the socialist education system.
The real-story telling “Father’s gold-star medal” demonstrated the burning enthusiasm for succession of the students of the Mangyongdae and Chilgol revolutionary schools to prepare themselves to be the true sons and daughters of the revolution, the core of the cause of Juche, who support and follow only the Workers’ Party of Korea by steadily carrying on the soul and spirit of loyalty of their parents.
The music and dance tale “We grow up in the embrace of the Marshal”, which impressively depicted the looks of the Korean schoolchildren in Japan who are growing up to be upright successors to the patriotic cause of Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) under the leadership of the respected Marshal, was acclaimed by the audience.
The performance gave people fuller confidence that the country’s days and months will be filled with happy laughter of children forever thanks to the embrace of benevolent love of the respected fatherly Marshal and that an immensely rosy future is in store for the country, ending with the epilogue “How nice the New Year will be”.
