Factory strives to turn out more sought-after electric goods
January 6, 2026The Pyongyang Automation Appliances Factory is recording high results in the production of household electric appliances.
Some products of the factory were highly praised at the light industry goods exhibition Development of Light Industry-2025 held last October.
Examining electric cookers and fans presented by the factory, visitors unanimously said that the goods, which were made by relying on its own technology and locally-available materials, looked nice and highly efficient.
The smart-looking electric cookers coming in various colours attracted many housewives as their cooking time has been relatively shortened.
Also eye-catching were high-performance electric fans with more blades and improved motors and speed reducers as compared with conventional ones.
“The factory is increasing the variety of electric appliances essentially needed for people’s life and directing big efforts to improving their quality,” said manager Kim Chang Won.
It is solving many problems arising in revitalizing the production and developing new products by relying on its strong scientific and technological forces.
It is preparing its employees as scientific and technological personnel by making effective use of the well-furnished sci-tech learning space.
As a result, it established a new slide bearing production process needed for the production of fans and introduced a new joining technology to increase the production of electric irons 2.5 times.
A multifunctional rice cooker with voice command function and a multipurpose electric stove, newly developed by the factory, are appreciated by experts.
