Danish prime minister decries US’ attempt to annex Greenland
January 12, 2026The Danish prime minister rejected the US’ attempt to annex Greenland in a radio interview on January 5.
As regards the US chief executive’s continued revelation of the wild ambition to annex Greenland, he took issue with it, saying that Denmark made a stand against annexation and that Greenland also repeatedly declared that it does not want to be subordinated to the US.
If the US attacks other NATO member states, everything will stop, he warned.
