The ideal socialist villages indicative of the Korean-style civilization of the countryside sprang up at the Chollisong Farm in Taehung County and Ryongnim and Ripsok farms in Mundok County, South Phyongan Province.

The ceremonies of moving into new houses took place on the spot. They were attended by officials of the Party and power organs in the province and counties, builders and agricultural workers who would move into new houses.

Addresses were made and licences for the use of houses handed over to be followed by speeches.

Artistic performances were given in congratulation of the auspicious house-moving events.
