The Chonnae Area Coal-mining Complex has made successes in production in the new year.

The Chungsong pit concentrated tunnelling forces in the areas with rich coal deposits and favourable mining conditions and more than doubled the daily coal output as compared to the corresponding period of last year by continuous drilling and blasting.

The Hyoksin, Hwara and Naedong pits operate the equipment at full capacity and introduce advanced blasting methods that suit the rock conditions, thus producing larger quantities of coal than planned.

The Hayang pit of the Samchon Coal Mine, the Sungni, Jonjin, Chongnyon and other pits of the Munchon Coal Mine are ensuring a timely transport of coal by increasing the capacity of coal wagons.
