Mexican president rejects subordination to other countries
January 20, 2026The Mexican President said in a press conference on January 13 that her country would maintain a foreign policy based on equality and sovereign power, rejecting any type of subordination to the US and other countries.
Mexico is a sovereign state and advocates giving priority to mutual respect and sovereign power in foreign policy, she noted.
She said so with regard to the fact that tension has recently been created with the US surrounding trade, security and the combat against drug.
