Dmitri Medvedev, vice-chairman of the Security Council of Russia, posted an article on an SNS on January 12 to deride the US’ attempt to seize Greenland.

The article said mockingly: The US should make haste. According to unconfirmed information, an unexpected referendum will be held in Greenland in a few days and its residents might vote for the island’s admission to Russia. Then, all will be over. Another small star will not be added to the Stars and Stripes, but instead, the 90th federal entity will come into being in Russia.
