The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ri Ok Suk, a war veteran living in Neighbourhood Unit No. 14 of Kwang-ri, Phihyon County, North Phyongan Province, on his 100th birthday.

Ri extended thanks to Kim Jong Un, expressing his deep gratitude at the repeated benevolence shown by the Workers' Party of Korea for war veterans.

Officials of the Phihyon County Committee of the WPK and villagers congratulated his family members on their auspicious event.

The centenarian joined the army to bravely fight against the aggressors during the past Fatherland Liberation War and devoted his all to the increased grain production during the periods of postwar reconstruction and socialist construction.

He is still fulfilling his responsibility and duty as an educator firing the ranks of loyalty and patriotism with enthusiasm, full of energy despite his advanced age.
