The prime minister of Greenland reaffirmed the stand to defend the right to self-determination on January 19.

The oppressive moves of the US including the tariff threat cannot change the firm stand of Greenland to defend its right to self-determination, he said, adding that Greenland will not tolerate other’s oppression to it.

Saying that demonstrations have been staged against the US’ attempt to seize the territory in different cities of Denmark and Greenland and that they have been receiving support and encouragement from other countries, he stressed that this is a demonstration of the strength of firm unity and a clear recognition that Greenland has the right to self-determination.
