Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at a talk on January 19 that the country should develop its economy by its own efforts.

Pointing to the need for the country to make its own goods without relying on imports, whether sanctions are imposed or not, he said that the technologies Belarus has accumulated since the Soviet era are great and it can use them as many as it likes even today.

There are still some problems to be solved, but an important thing is for the regional governments and enterprises to prioritize their own things, he stressed, affirming that Belarus can actually ensure independence in all aspects.
