Recently, the Laotian government set its major tasks for 2026.

A government meeting took place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, from January 12 to 13 with high-ranking officials of the state and leading officials of major sectors in attendance.

The meeting reviewed the government’s work of last year and set it as a major task of this year to consolidate the economic independence of the country and develop infrastructure according to the five-year prospective plan.
