Chinese Ministry of Commerce criticizes EU’s inappropriate behaviour
January 30, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce condemned the inappropriate behaviour of the European Union at a news briefing on January 22.
As to the fact that the EU recently designated some Chinese enterprises as “highly dangerous supply enterprises”, the spokesman said that China resolutely opposes the wrong behaviour to politicize the economic and trade issue.
He demanded the EU stop extensively interpreting the security issue and hindering the normal economic and trade cooperation with China.
He emphasized that if the EU takes discriminative measures against the Chinese enterprises, it will defend legal rights and interests by taking resolute retaliatory measures.
