Dmitri Peskov, the Russian president’s press secretary, described European politicians as pitiable persons at a press conference on January 25.

As politicians in power in Europe have degenerated, all systems of international relations are suffering greatly, he said, criticizing them for having no capabilities to cope with the US’ arbitrariness.

The changes that are taking place in world politics today are the direct product of double standards and hypocrisy which have been prevalent in Europe for decades, he said, describing European politicians as pitiable.

The present US administration argues for solving problems by forcing others into submission and clamours that strength is the solution, he said, stressing that once they submit, they will continue to do so, but such things do not work on Russia.
